Women's Tennis loses first match of 2010 season to Macalester

The Northwestern College women’s tennis team started its 2010 campaign on Saturday, losing a 9-0 match to Macalester College in the school’s Leonard Center. The Eagles battled hard in the match, but the Scots started their season with a 1-0 record.

The Northwestern women's tennis team had a difficult time matching their Day 1 accolades on Saturday at the UMAC conference tournament, as all four Eagles singles players fell in their respective championship matches. Wendy Miller, Rebecca Leland, Johanna Alex and Erica Abeler all earned spots in championship matches on Friday.
